Improving Farm Productivity Grant
The Improving Farm Productivity grant is a part of the Farming Investment Fund, which provides grants to farmers and horticultural businesses in England to invest in their businesses to improve productivity, profitability, and environmental sustainability. The grant covers up to 25% of the cost of eligible solar equipment to increase energy resilience and renewable energy generation on farm. The minimum grant available for solar equipment is £15,000 and the maximum is £100,000. To apply, the first step is to complete an online checker, which will assess the eligibility and likelihood of success of the application. If the checker indicates a positive outcome, the applicant will be invited to submit a full application with supporting documents.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a government grant scheme that provides financial support to property owners in England and Wales who want to replace their fossil fuel heating systems with low carbon alternatives, such as heat pumps or biomass boilers. The scheme aims to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency in buildings. The grant amount varies depending on the type of heating system installed. For Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps the amount is £7,500.
0% VAT (Residential )
The 0% VAT for renewable technologies is a temporary measure that applies to the installation of certain energy-saving materials (ESMs) in residential properties in Great Britain from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2027. The aim is to encourage the adoption of low-carbon heating systems and solar panels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency. The measure also reverses some previous restrictions on the scope of the relief that were imposed by the EU
